I did the XTERRA SPRINT TRIATHLON on Sunday, March 30, 2008 with my husband, Tim. It was so cool.
I finished 7th out of 15 women and 3rd in my age group. There was a total of 86 people who finished the race. I was 67 th overall. There were about 5 women who didn't even finish the race. I ACTUALLY GOT A MEDAL!
Tim also did very well. He placed 7th in his age group and 38 out of 76 males.
I have to admit, it was pretty brutal. I got a little banged up on the bike part but overall it was a good race. There were some really cool water crossings on the run. It took me 2 hours and 22 minutes and Tim finished in 2 hours and 5 minutes.
I love racing!

- On July 26, 2008, my sister and I will be riding in the RAGRAI ride across Iowa as a part of the Livestrong Team. Our battles with breast cancer have been tough but we are back and welcome the opportunity to help raise funds in support of cancer research and awareness. The bicycle ride is 7 days and around 475 miles long. This will be one of our first opportunities to give back and make a difference together since our recovery.
